Enterprising Women Magazine Recognizes Outstanding Academic, Nonprofit And Business Leaders At Annual Awards Event
RALEIGH, N.C., March 22, 2016 – Monica Smiley, publisher and CEO of Enterprising Women magazine, recognized Barbara Kasoff as the 2016 Enterprising Women Legacy Award winner during the 2016 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards Celebration & Conference, an annual tribute to the world’s top women entrepreneurs, from February 28 to March 1 in Miami, Florida.
Kasoff is the recipient of the 2016 Enterprising Women Legacy Award. She is co-founder and president emeritus of Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), a national nonprofit organization working to increase the economic power and public policy clout of women business owners. While advocating on behalf of its coalition of more than four million women, WIPP has provided them with leadership opportunities for personal and business growth, as well as a pathway to engage in the public policy process. WIPP has become the go-to resource for both Congress and the Administration, giving women business owners a seat at the table. A long-time member of the Enterprising Women Advisory Board, Kasoff has also been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
“We are honored to recognize Barbara Kasoff as our 2016 Legacy Award winner to celebrate the enormous contribution she has made as the co-founder and president of WIPP. Through her leadership, WIPP has significantly amplified the voices of women entrepreneurs in our nation's capital and positively impacted a wide range of public policy issues that have helped women grow more successful businesses.”
