Newark Welcomes New Entrepreneurial Program for Low-Income Single Mothers 
Free “Moms Who Hustle” program launched in partnership with the Walker’s Legacy Foundation 

Mayor Ras J. Baraka , Newark Community Economic Development Corporation acting president and CEO Aisha Glover , and the Walker’s Legacy Foundation will announce its new Moms Who Hustleentrepreneurial program for low-income single Newark mothers. The 12-week program is open to 21 – 35-year-old mothers who live in Newark and aspire to entrepreneurship or are currently building a business. Participants will benefit from financial literacy, business development and personal empowerment classes, at no cost to them. Newark is one of five communities around the nation chosen to pilot Moms Who Hustle; 20 Newark moms will be accepted into the program.
