Chapel Hill, NC -- Beyond the States, a service that helps students worldwide in navigating Europe's English-conducted higher education programs, will release its online membership portal on Friday, April 15, 2016. Founded by the American husband and wife team of Jennifer and Tom Viemont, the site will include a comprehensive searchable database of over 1,500 English-conducted full bachelor's degree programs available throughout non-Anglophone Europe. Beyond The States aims to simplify the complex process of applying to European schools and currently offers personalized recommendations for students who are considering obtaining their degrees abroad.
"Students often think they are limited to Anglophone countries when seeking a bachelor’s degree conducted in English. In fact, there are a tremendous amount of highly reputable schools with affordable tuition throughout continental Europe," said Jennifer Viemont. "Beyond the States allows students to learn about, and compare, European schools and their English conducted bachelor’s degree programs. With the launch of the searchable database, all the pertinent information will be available in one centralized place."
Beyond the States includes information on admissions processes, visa and resident permit requirements and how to find student housing.
The benefits of earning a degree in Europe are many. European degree programs are more affordable than their U.S. counterparts, with over 40 public universities that are entirely tuition-free to international students. The average tuition of the English-conducted bachelor’s degree program in Europe is 6,614 Euros per year and there are more than 98 schools that offer tuition of less than 3,600 Euros per year. In most European schools, bachelor's degree programs take only three years to complete, saving students both time and money. Students studying in Europe also have the opportunity to easily travel to neighboring countries, learn about various cultures and learn languages through immersion.
