Yotpo’s 2019 List of “Amazing Women in eCommerce” Spotlight the Female-Led Brands and Buying Experiences Important to Today’s Consumers

—A soon-to-be-published report by Yotpo (www.yotpo.com) on a survey of female eCommerce shoppers in the US and UK reveals that practically half (49.4%) prefer to buy from brands that are founded, led, or run by women. Further, respondents cite a predisposition toward brands whose ads show women of various ethnicities (75.3%) and diverse body types (84.0%).

As expectations rise for brands to deliver products and experiences that demonstrate cultural awareness to the current generations of shoppers, Yotpo is announcing its 2019 list of “Amazing Women in eCommerce” to recognize the women driving the success of many of today’s most popular brands. As part of the effort to foster future leadership in eCommerce, Yotpo has donated $20,000 to Girls Inc., a global organization devoted to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold through direct service and advocacy.

Women Corporate Directors Come to Silicon Valley

SAN JOSE, CA – January 24, 2019 – Eight months after California passed a law mandating a minimum number of women directors for boards of public companies based in the state, WomenCorporateDirectors (WCD) is holding its annual WCD Global Institute – “Harnessing the Transformative Power of Technology” – in Silicon Valley. The first time the Institute will be held on the West Coast, the event is May 19-22, 2019, at the brand-new headquarters of Hewlett Packard Enterprise opening later this year in San Jose.

“WCD is a global organization of more than 2,400 women who sit on corporate boards in 41 countries around the world,” says Susan C. Keating, CEO of WCD. “Already our membership is being tapped to go on more boards in California, as members represent leadership in every industry – including highly in-demand financial experts – and are sought after by companies who want to raise their percentage of women directors.”
