Enterprising Women Names Dominique Cagle, Jennifer Compton and Denise Pollard to its Advisory Board

RALEIGH, N.C., March 30 – Monica Smiley, CEO and publisher of Enterprising Women magazine, has appointed Dominique Cagle, Jennifer Compton and Denise Pollard to the Enterprising Women Advisory Board.

“Dominique Cagle, Jennifer Compton and Denise Pollard are each highly respected and experienced experts in their fields, where each also brings a deep dedication to their clients. Enterprising Women is proud to welcome them to lend their wisdom, generosity and passion to our organization as members of our Advisory Board,” said Smiley.

Dominique Cagle and Denise Pollard are recipients of the 2020 Enterprising Women of the Year Award. Jennifer Compton is a 2020 Enterprising Women of the Year Award Champion.

Dominique "Nika" Cagle is Owner/ President of Nika Corporate Housing, which she founded in 2003 and has since grown to become a regional leader in the Corporate Housing industry with an inventory of over 300 units. With a history of sustained growth and annual profitability, Nika Corporate Housing has been nominated as a semi-finalist for the small business of the year in the City of Tampa.

A leader in the Southeast, the company provides “turnkey” short term, fully furnished one-, two- and three-bedroom units located in premier locations to ensure guests feel like they are “living like a local” during their stay.

Nika Corporate Housing is a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and a certified Woman Owned Business with the City of Tampa. Cagle is a member of the professional organizations “Corporate Housing Providers Association” (CHPA) and “Employee Relocation Council” (ERC), the Women’s President’s Organization (WPO) and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP).

Cagle is also the co-owner of Casa Genesis which is a cloud-based SAAS management suite for corporate housing companies to manage all aspects of their operations. She is a professional athlete and author of Bounce Back After Baby.

Cagle attended the Harvard Business School Owner/President Management or OPM program. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with honors, a four-year program accomplished in three, and was awarded an interdisciplinary degree of Letters. She attended the Dartmouth Tuck Business School WBENC Executive Growth Program - Sponsored by IBM in September 2018, and the Dartmouth Tuck Business School/ WBENC IBM Program Strategic Growth 2019. She attended the Stanford Business School continuing education for Leadership Skills for Women in the Workplace. She is currently attending the International Business Law Masters Program with the University of Oklahoma.

Cagle volunteers with the local “Ronald MacDonald House” and has sponsored 7 disadvantaged children from 6 different impoverished countries through Children International for almost a decade. Jennifer Compton is CEO and Founder of J&L Communications, leveraging over 20 years of experience to advance the products, services, and public image of industry leading companies.

J&L Communications is a full-service, international agency dedicated to challenging the status quo to better serve Fortune 500 B2B clients. Compton has cultivated a seasoned team with over 20 years of experience in: marketing, public relations, technical writing, video production, event production, digital communications, and design both within large corporations and creative agencies

Compton began her career in government relations and has since counseled and developed successful campaigns for a number of other industries, including: professional and financial services, law, food and wine, healthcare, technology, retail and consumer goods, venture capital, private equity, and M&A.

Her areas of expertise include: media relations and strategic communications, thought leadership programs, go-to-market branding strategies, campaign planning and execution, messaging development, event planning, social media, grassroots communications campaigns, advertising campaign planning and execution, media buying, B2B and B2C, media training CEO and C-level executives and reputation management.

Before launching J&L Communications, Compton served as Associate Director, Americas Communications and Marketing, at EY, where she led global and US brand strategy for EY’s Transaction Advisory Services practice. Denise Pollard, M.A., Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), is President and Chief Executive Officer for the Center for Learning and Autism Support Services, Inc. (CLASS). She has been studying, researching, and applying the science of behavior analysis for over 25 years, and has impacted over 10 thousand individual diagnosed with autism in the US over the last 18 years as well as employed thousands of practitioners within the industry. In 2000, Pollard received her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of the Pacific.

Pollard's ability to connect with both children and families, impacted with autism, prompted her to form her own company, The Center for Learning and Autism Support Services (CLASS), Inc. in 2003. Since opening its doors, Pollard has grown her company to employ hundreds of therapists, Clinical Directors, and Regional Directors and is considered to be among the leaders in the industry, as well as having national leadership recognition in autism insurance reform (SB946). She has been known to sponsor and underwrite a wide variety of autism non-profit organizations in an effort to give back to the community and help find a cure for autism.

Pollard stays very active in both national and international chapters of the Autism Society of America; The Association for Behavior Analysis; The Association for Professional Behavior Analysts; California Association for Behavior Analysis: Autism Speaks; and has been invited to serve as a collaborative member for the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health at Stanford University.

Known for her expertise, Denise has been a featured expert on the Emmy award-winning public affairs show Beyond the Headlines.

A panel of independent judges selected Pollard as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2017 Award in Northern California. Also in 2017, The Behavioral Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) recognized Denise's corporation, CLASS, with an accreditation acknowledging the business as a behavioral service provider committed to continuous improvement in Applied Behavior Analysis service delivery.

In 2019 Denise was invited to serve as a member of the Female Founder Collective, which is a network of businesses led by women, supporting women, and in 2021 as a member of CHIEF, a network of women leaders that looks at experience, company size, awards and credentials, thought leadership and impact for membership. https://classaba.com
