RALEIGH, N.C., January 19 – Monica Smiley, CEO and publisher of Enterprising Women magazine, has appointed Kathy Durfee, Amber Lutz-Sherman and Keisha Rivers to the Enterprising Women Advisory Board.

Kathy Durfee is CEO and Founder of TechHouse, a fully remote business technology consulting firm, Microsoft Gold-Certified Partner, and QuickBooks Elite Solutions Provider that provides IT consulting services to organizations across the US. The company empowers organizations and communities with its custom-fit solutions.
Durfee got her start in information technology working at Accenture, the multinational consulting company. When family matters required her to stay at home, she recalls doing “tech” consulting from her “house,” leading her to found TechHouse in 1995. Her commitment to leveling the playing field has earned recognition from numerous awards including from Ingram Micro and Microsoft. She was a GrowFL Company to Watch Honoree in 2021, and received theWomen in Cloud Digital Transformation Project of the YearAwardin 2021. In 2022, she was named to the National Association of Women Business Owner of the Year Award Top 10 Class.
This year she received the 2022 Enterprising Women of the Year Award.

Amber Lutz-Sherman is the 4th generation Owner of Lutz Plumbing, Inc., a business she grew up in. Sheofficially started in 2006 as a CSR and dispatcher, and worked her way up to President, beforeproudly taking over for her father, 3rd generation Owner Jim Lutz. Prior to joiningthe family business, she worked at a marketing firm. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Education.
Celebrating Lutz Plumbing’s 100th year in business is one of her proudest accomplishments. She was recognized by Enterprising Women as part of the Class of 2022 Champions.

Keisha A Rivers is President of The KARS Group LTD,where she facilitates successful outcomes by equipping people to embrace, manage and lead through change. She speaks from experience, having survived a harrowing Hurricane Katrina experience to become a successful international speaker, change agent and learning leader. Leveraging close to 25 years of experience in the strategic consulting and organizational development space, she creates opportunities for change, growth and sustainable success with clients across a variety of industries.
Rivers hosts a podcast entitled "Equipped 4 Change™", has authored several books, the latest entitled "Equipped for Change™: Doing the Deep Work of Transformation", and gives back through her 501c3 nonprofit organization, The KARS Institute. Keisha holds a Bachelor of Artsfrom the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Education from the University of New Orleans and a Certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship from Cornell University. She is a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), Certified Diversity Executive (CDE), Certified Talent Optimization Consultant and SHRM Recertification Provider.
She has been named "50 Most Influential Women of 2021" by the Mecklenburg Times for her leadership in the Charlotte area; "10 Most Influential Black Women in Business to Follow in 2021" by CIO Views Magazine; "Multicultural Entrepreneurs You Should Know" by PRIDE Magazine and a 2021 Next Generation Indie Book Awards Finalist for her book "Equipped for Change: Doing the Deep Work of Transformation".
She received the 2022 Enterprising Women of the Year Award.
