Kathleen Pavlik (Kathy) is a Market Development Executive for IBM Corporation, Sales and Distribution. She leads a team responsible for the strategy and marketing to Asian, Hispanic, Native American, Black and women owned businesses and IBM Suppliers in North America. She also markets to women owned, led, and influenced businesses in select countries worldwide.
Prior to her current position, Kathy served as the Manager of co-marketing for Business Partners in the U.S. and Canada. In this role she worked with IBM Business Partners to develop, fund and measure their IBM demand generation plans. Kathy has served in numerous global leadership positions in IBM marketing and sales for over 35 years. She was one of the first female direct sales representatives in IBM, earning 17 100% Clubs and 4 Golden Circles during her sales career.; Her experience is focused on personnel management, consultative sales, customer relationships, market management, operations and channel management. She has a strong affinity for small and medium businesses with specific expertise in distribution and retail industries and particular focus on services sales and delivery.
Kathleen is a member of the Information Technology Services Marketing Association and the American Marketing Association. She serves on the Board of Directors for the 800+ member North Carolina IBM Women’s Business Resource Group, and is the organization’s President for 2014. She is active in her community where she volunteers with Women in Technology, the Girl Scouts and Dress for Success.She is a mentor to many women in marketing and sales both inside and outside of IBM.
Kathleen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Iowa. She resides in Chapel Hill, NC with her husband, John. They have three grown children, one of whom works for IBM in Armonk, NY.
